How to master office dressing- advice from a London lawyer

In 2004 I started working for a law firm as a paralegal. Our London office was based on famous Fleet streets. A dream had come true for me! I borrowed some money from a friend and bought a suit.  It was from Zara, a cream tweed looking number (thinking about it now, it was probably 100% polyester). I also bought a cream linen shirt and ivory courts, which looked much more expensive then they were.  I felt so professional and chic.   Fifteen years later and a suit is still the basis of my office style.  Not necessarily a black, sharp one (although they also have their place) but a softer, wool/ tweed version.  They lend themselves...
